Software support in creating individualised diet plan
Individualised diet is based upon the assessment of health and nutritional status of a person. The quality of diet planning depends on accuracy and reliability of measuring and determining anthropometric, clinical and nutritional parameters this planning is based upon. There are many parameters to be taken into account if one wants to create optimal diet plan. Therefore, the only way to properly accomplish this task is to use software created for this purpose. In nutritional center Salus Tuzla we have developed software tool called NutriJatros. It contains individual data on health and nutritional status for every patient and every visit, as well as nutritional data of around 3000 food items and MET values of around 800 various physical activities. This software contains models for calculating individual nutritional needs of a person adjusted to age, sex and other specific requirements, like some acute or chronic health conditions. Personal data file for every patient contains all relevant anthropometric and clinical data such as diagnose, treatment, laboratory results and other data needed for creating individualised daily, weekly or monthly diet plan.
