Neutron density distributions for atomic parity nonconservation experiments
Nuclear structure corrections to the weak charge in atomic parity nonconservation. (PNC) experiments are analyzed. Measurement of PNC effects along an isotope chain might represent a useful method to circumvent the present atomic theory uncertainty in tests of the Standard model of electroweak interactions. Neutron distributions of Cs, Ba, Yb and Pb isotopes are calculated with the relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov model, and the uncertainty of the calculated isotope shifts of neutron radii is analyzed.
