E-leadership: New organizational paradigm
Significant use of technology in contemporary organizations leads to increase of organizational complexity and change in modes of communication and shaping social climate in organizations. Effects of technology use on management can be observed through new paradigm called e-Leadership. New growth opportunities caused by technological advances and its application in organizations require conssiousness of behavioural complexity and need to take into account both human and technological factors while leading organizational teams. In this paper we will focus on definition of term e-leadership, overview of factors necessary for successful e-leadership, comparison with traditional forms of leadership and presentation of advantages and possible risks regarding e-leadership. Main contribution of this paper is systematization of achieved knowledge in this relatively new and unexplored area and giving guidelines for future research.
