Expression of TJ6 protein in the human first trimester decidual lymphocytes
Experiments in mice showed that TJ6, a recently discovered pregnancy-associated protein, contributes to the maintenance of the immunosuppressive microenvironment at the maternal-fetal interface. The aim of this investigation was to determine by Western blotting whether TJ6 protein is expressed in the first trimester human decidual lymphocytes. Three immunoreactive proteins of molecular weight of 67, 60, and 32 kD were recognized by anti-TJ6m polyclonal antibody. The staining of lysates of peripheral blood lymphocytes of the same patients showed in addition to the 67-kD molecule, two other molecules but of different molecular mass (50 and 37 kD).
