Spectral Function Of A Strongly Correlated Electron-Phonon System
We discuss results for two types of spectral functions, the function A(k, omega) of interacting fermions on a square lattice, and the function alpha(2)F(k, k", omega) of the square lattice electrons interacting with phonons. Strong local Coulomb interactions lead to enhanced momentum dependence of alpha(2)F(k, k", omega) which may increase the superconducting transition temperature T-c. Finally, the Eliashberg equations have been solved for the isotropic case; however, the use of the Fermi-surface-averaged spectral weight, alpha(2)(omega)F(omega), might be inappropriate in the case of high-temperature superconductors.
