Pedagogical content knowledge – a challenge for physics teacher education
Building pedagogical content knowledge in prospective physics teachers is extremely important, but also presents a great challenge for teacher education. It is essential that student teachers build PCK by integrating their physics content knowledge with general pedagogical knowledge in methods courses which are strongly physics based. Experiences from teaching methods courses at Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb were shared and discussed.
