The final paper examines Alfred Hitchcock’s most successful period in his career and his three best known films from that period. In the first two chapters it focuses on the development of Hitchcock’s career with examples of films from that period such as: The Lodger, Dial M for Murder, The Man Who Knew Too Much, etc. Further on, this paper explains main characteristics of his best known films: Vertigo, Psycho, and The Birds. It also provides examples of Hitchcock’s most famous motifs that occur in almost every one of his films ; the motif of blonde, mother or MacGuffin. Finally it also provides examples of Hitchcock’s appearances or cameos in his film as a kind of his trademark.
