NOS-I immunocytochemistry of the hippocampal formation and entorhinal cortex in normal aging and Alyheimer's disease
The data suggest that enhanced NOS-I immunoreactivity of CA2 neurons may be related to their resistance to degeneration, while astrocytes can play a role in neuronal cytotoxicity in Alzheimer's disease.
