Study on objective function in soft tissues characterization
Modelling the mechanical behavior of biomaterials is nowadays more and more important in understanding of the human body response in the events of its specific movements. In this research the modelling is based on the experimental observation of the load - elongation relationship of the human cervical spine ligaments during uniaxial tensile tests. In order to simulate material behavior as accurate as possible, complex material model suitable for soft tissues behavior modelling is used. This model consists of large number of characteristic material parameters, which are unknowns in the undetermined system of equations. Therefore, it is suitable to use advanced numerical methods, which are based on the inverse analysis for the material parameter identification. One of the main goals in the building this numerical procedure is the definition of the objective function for the specific problem.
