The Simulation of Nonlinear Optical Transmission
Various simulations of nonlinear optical propagation, using split-step Fourier method for solving nonlinear Schrödinger equation, are presented. The impact of optical soliton interactions on transmission speed is analyzed in repeaterless transmission system. Using numerical simulation for a given pulse sequence, the maximum transmission speed limited by soliton interactions is obtained. It is demonstrated that phase difference alternation of the initial pulse sequence enhances transmission speed.
