Cell-mediated cytotoxicity in experimental cholestasis
The data have shown that early after common bile duct ligation intrahepatic and splenic MNLC became more cytotoxic to YAC-1 (NK sensitive) and to P815 (LAK sensitive) targets. These effects correlated with the increased proportion of NK cells in the liver. Simultaneously, in the liver increased also the proportion of NKT cells (T cell receptor intermediate (TCRint) cells, NK1.1+ and IL-2Rbeta+), which as autoreactive cells, contributed to enhanced cytotoxicity of intrahepatic MNLC against syngeneic thymocytes.
