Priprava stabilnog ZrO2-sola za tanke keramičke prevlake
The effect of synthesis parameters, such as molar ratio of Zr-n-butoxide/acetylacetone/water/nitric acid and thermal treatment, on the stability of ZrO2-sols, their gelling time and crystalline characteristics were studied. The results show that the stability of the sols is strongly dependent on the combination effect of water, acetylacetone and acid. The hydrolysis and condensation rate of Zr-n-butoxide vary with the added content of water, acetylacetone and acid. The gelling time is largely extended from 0 to 637 hours with increasing the molar ratio of acetylacetone to Zr-n-butoxide from 0 to 1. The nitric acid shows a marked catalytic and, in combination with acetylacetone, synergistic effect on the hydrolysis rate of Zr-n-butoxide. At 400o C only crystallization of tetragonal zirconia was observed. It remains stabile until 900oC.
