Pedagoški i andragoški aspekti odnosa između djece i ostarjelih roditelja
The paper presents theoretical implications that include consideration of the relationship between adult children and elderly parents. The conflict of roles within the moral intergenerational solidarity of members of the so-called "sandwich generation" is considered and critical consideration is given to the moral responsibility of adult children in the care of elderly parents. The aim of the paper is to clarify the following question: Do multigenerational families in the 21st century fulfill the function of support for their members? Contrary to family relationships in parent-child relations that are justifiably emphasized, mutual relationships and concern for the quality of life of elderly people, both by their adult children and adult grandchildren, are one of the marginalized aspects of life on both family and social level. In order to encourage younger generations to establish qualitatively better and more humane relationship with older members of the family, the paper describes practical possibilities of implementing contemporary scientific knowledge, practical and research experience in pedagogical and andragogical aspects of the relations with the elderly.
međugeneracijski odnosi, međugeneracijska ambivalentnost, sendvič generacija, odgovornost, neformalni oblici brige za starije roditelje
