Integration of global navigation satellite system (GNSS) and borehole camera for purpose of modeling the blasting in clay soil
The use of the borehole camera when observing the blasting results in clay soils provides accurate data on the effects. For this purpose, GNSS ; Heavy Duty GeoVision borehole camera, and laser (EDS-C) integration were used. The spherical cavity formed after the detonation of the explosive charge in the bottom of the borehole was measured with the aid of a boreohole camera and a laser system. The measurement data obtained was used to determine the coordinates of the boreholes at a certain depth of recording based on the known E and N coordinates and the height H (GNSS measurement method). A major challenge in the research was to determine the shape and volume of the cavities formed at a certain depth of clay soil after the explosion of the explosive charge which is located in cylindrical borehole with a diameter of at least 131 mm. For a more accurate calculation of the coordinates E, N and H at a certain depth of recording, an application was created that with the calculation of the coordinate of the cavity and its volume gives a detailed graphical interpretation in the 2D and 3D views.
