Functional and Structural Integration of Intelligent Transport Systems
Functional and structural integration of different components of Intelligent Transport Systems have to be based on system methodology and &#8220 ; programming-in-the-large&#8221 ; approach is discussed. General System Problem Solver (GSPS) is suggested as effective methodological support for structural and functional (process) abstraction and flexible design in specific environment. Existing ITS architecture includes some elements of formal-structural systems, but effective functional and structural integration is not yet obtained. Selection and prioritization of ITS user services are modelled as a decision making problem (Z, SP) where ITS experts and consultants define subset A of all possible ITS services
