Case study of the sea water - water heat pump implementation on an existing public building: SEADRION project

The SEAdrion Project - Fostering Diffusion of Heating & Cooling Technologies Using the Seawater Pump in the Adriatic-Ionian Region is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and its purpose is to improve the innovation capability of the heat pumps and increase the number of seawater heat pumps in the Adriatic-Ionian region. As a part of the project, it is planned to conduct a case study on the possible implementation of the sea water heat pump - water on an existing public utility building, and the city administration building in Kaštel Sućurac was selected as an example of the study. Accordingly, it is worth to present the existing state of the building and the thermotechnology systems and the conceptual project of replacing the existing system with the sea water - water heat pump system with potential savings achieved.
