Implementation of Bologna process-Experiences and Challenges
In this work, the issue of higher education for teachers and educators is elaborated in the contest of Bologna process, introduction of a new quality system and globalization of education. The paper provides an overview of the plans, expectations and some experiences with the implementation of the Bologna process, and recommends measures for improvement of quality of specific segments of professional education and training for future teachers in the context of curricular changes. Proceeding from the key competences specified in the European documents, the paper also provides a theoretical and empirical elaboration of new approaches to quality evaluation and management, by comparing the given guidelines of the Bologna process with experiences and expectations of higher education students. The approach to curricular theory and practice which is focused on the development of teacher competences is explained through the need to introduce innovations in the higher education institution management.
