In this paper, an application of infrared (IR) camera in thermal engineering is presented. Measurements have been performed on an electrical flat radiator with the goal of revealing the heaters location inside the radiator material as the heating output of the radiator when it is embedded in a window niche, with and without a bench. The resulting thermograms of unsteady radiator surface temperatures, the basis for heating output calculations, have been compared with numerically obtained temperature fields of the radiator at power-on. |
