Sažetak:
Concept of the numerical model (SIGMA) for the analysis of soil structures, ground and underground excavations is briefly described. The material model (elasto-plasticity) is especially adjusted for the simulation of non-linear mechanical behaviour of soils, rocks and concrete. Special contact finite elements, which are very convenient for the simulations of "joints" between rock blocks, are also included. Computer package is provided with a graphic pre- and post-processor. Using the pre-processor all input data for the analysis can be easily automatically prepared, corrected and modified. SIGMA is very practical for the analysis of strain/stress fields during construction or excavation using an initial finite element mesh only. The applicability of SIGMA is illustrated with the solution of two practical examples.
