ANTHROPOMETRIC MEASURES AS A BASIS FOR ERGONOMIC DESIGN OF WORK PLACE
The well known fact is that average height of men is getting higher every 10 years by 1-2 cm. Average height of men in Croatia was significantly lower 10, 20 or 50 years ago. Therefore, it is necessary to measure anthropometric characteristics of people constantly and make ergonomic quality of working place higher. In this paper anthropometric characteristics of students were measured, because they make a future working people, to adapt working places they will come to, to their anthropometric measures. It is established that working places, especially those where work is done by sitting down, do not fit today's working population.
