Stres na poslu: metode intervencije
The results of studies on stress at work, data on its prevalence and its deleterious impact as well as the European legislation point to the necessity of prevention of work-related stress. There are two main approaches to occupational stress interventions. The one is aimed at changing an individual through stress management training and employee assistance programs. The other is aimed at organisational change, i. e. removal of stressors or their modification in a way to reduce job stress they cause. The characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of both approaches are considered. The different phases of stress intervention programs are presented according to NIOSH (US) and according to the European model of risk assessment and stress management. Some pointers to successful intervention programs are offered. Several studies are identified in which effectiveness of the stress-reducing interventions for different job stressors was evaluated. The importance of future studies evaluating the effects of intervention programs for different job stressors is highlighted.
