A Research on the Influence of Folding on the Decreased of Quality in the Graphic Arts Industry
Digital printing techniques are increasing from day to day and having also a bigger part in graphic arts industry. Increasing trend is understandable due to possibility of producing goods faster, cheaper and with higher quality. One of the most important factors that limits a part of digital and convencional printing techniques in graphic arts industry is quality itself. But, the ink admission on material surface depends on many factors where the folding is very important in product finishing. Objective issue of ink stability on surface of material is the mechanical resistance, which depends of folding. The task of this paper is to assert the difference in printing quality of digital and conventional printing techniques when prints are longer time under influence of folding. Prints were made on Indigo digital printing technique with liquid toner and with Xerox printing technique with dry toner as good as convencional printing technique.
