Inverse relation between type IV collagenase and TGF-ß1 in human endometrial carcinoma
In order to investigate the correlation between type IV collagenase and TGF-beta 1, we examined 22 specimens of human endometrical carcinomas. Expression of type IV collagenase and TGF-beta 1 Were inversely related. On the other hand expression of type IV collagenase correlated with myometrial invasion. This study suggests that TGF-beta 1 gene activity might be involved in the inhibition of tumor spread.
