The system of effective exercise time variables and physiological workload as a consequence of additional exercise
Based on the experiment with additional exercise in the parallel-alternating form of work, a study was conducted on a sample 87 first to fourth form pupils (7 to 11 - year- olds) in 2002. It can be concluded that additional exercise increases the effective exercise time. Since additional exercise can be applied in the main “ A” part of the lesson, its application will increase the effective exercise time of that part of the lesson but also of the total Physical education lesson. A consequence of the additional exercising is the increase in the physiological workload in a lesson, which is essential for the transformation of anthropological characteristics in children of that age. The system of heart rate has significantly increased under the effect of additional exercise. The system of effective exercise time variables and the system of heart rate values show a significant correlation confirmed by canonical correlation analysis, simultaneously stressing the uniqueness of a Physical education lesson which is divisible only in the organisational sense with the purpose of more efficient preparation and performance. This confirms the significant effect of additional exercise on the system of effective exercise time variables and the system of physiological workload indicator variables in the PE lesson.
