Morality in transitional Croatia
In chapter entitled Morality in transitional Croatia, two moralities are discussed: individual and social morality. The authors compare Croatia with individual groups of European countries. They conclude that the Croatian society shows characteristics of the society in transition, in which the tension between ideals and reality is demonstrated. This tension is often constructed as a kind of an antipode to the declaratory indicated ideals. The authors warn about the rooted egalitarian syndrome, which was particularly intensified in the socialist order, and which prevented the development of the entrepreneurial, and then creative mentality, and the overall development of the Croatian society.
