The paper describes a new proposal for the design of reinforced concrete structures in an aggressive environment. The procedure takes into account the real condition of concrete section craking under dead and live loads and special durable loads. In this way the least possible probability of structural damage resulting from the effect of special durable loads can be provided for already in the design phase.
