Geometrical and fabric parameters of balanced nxn rib structures (1x1, 2x2, 3x3, 4x4 and 5x5) and specialy 1x1 rib-knitted fabric independent of loop length has been analyzed. The samples of rib-knitted fabric have been produced on a simple hand-manipulated V-bed rib flat machine, with the same stitch densitiy. Specialy the samples of 1x1 rib-knitted fabrics with various loop length were knitted Results indicate that geometrical and fabric parameters of the 1x1 rib-knitted fabric are significantly influenced by loop length.The geometrical parameters of balanced nxn rib-structures as well as the parameters of plain-knitted fabric were compared.The geometrical parameters c/w of balanced rib-knitted fabrics considerably decrease with increasing the number of wales in the rib of this structures.
