Comparison of magnetic resonace imaging and scintigraphy in the diagnosis of osteomyelitis in cat-scratch disease
We describe a case of a 11 year old boy with prolonged fever, inguinal lyphadenitis and osteomyelitis after being scratched by a kitten. Our case confirms reports that MRI has an excellent diagnostic accuracy and is more reliable for the detection and evaluation of the bone lesions of CSD osteomyelitis than scintigraphy and computised tomography.
