Experimental investigation of the superfinishing process
By superfinishing process, ultra precision machining process of cylindrical, conical, spherical and even flat surface machine parts is performed. These parts must have high wear resistance and low coefficient of friction. This paper presents an experimental study into the effect of stone contact pressure, axial oscillation velocity, tangential circumferential velocity, grit size and machining time on the surface roughness during the superfinishing process.
