Relatively underdeveloped telematic technologies in the function of the traffic system of the City of Zagreb gave incentive for a survey carried out among the traffic experts. The purpose of the survey was to assess the implementation of the telematic technologies with the mission of improving the quality of the Zagreb traffic system. The survey has analysed in particular the problems in the operation of signal controls and the advantages and drawbacks in the development of telematic services. The aim of the study was also to promote the profession regarding traffic technology in decision-making on telematic problems in the City of Zagreb.
