Contemporary Legal and Economic Issues

The book "Contemporary Legal and Economic Issues" represents an international forum on major economic and legal problems confronting a contemporary society. It is organized in relatively rare format of a short monograph ; based on a set of 20 scientific papers (10 in the field of law and 10 in the field of economics), which is an advantageous way to construct a promising framework, offer some scientific and practical comments and to arouse readers' interest in the overall aproach, without having to carry the burden of the necessity to strive for completeness or detail. Contributions to the book are made by 33 authors and co-authors coming from Croatia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Sweden, Malaysia and Ghana providing an international perspective to various economic and legal issues, whereby economic and legal principles are applied to real problems. The purpose of the book has been to promote student’s research and writing, to increase the cooperation among students and their faculty staff and to illustrate the difference, as well as similarities in styles and forms among academic/scientific works coming from various European institutions of higher education and beyond. In addition, the book can serve as teaching and learning material in particular courses since it offers a reflection of current topics dealt in the fields of law and economics, as well as it can be very instructive text for wider audience who find legal and economic issues challenging.
