Sažetak:
Psychological well-being in work place is a significant issue for many researchers. Mostly, subjective well-being (SWB) variables were examined in context of work or to relation with job characteristics and work demands. However, some sources of stress at work could be found beyond workplace, i.e. in the other non-work related areas, since many people have significant responsibility outside the work. Thus, the effects of not only work, but also non-work related activities are becoming important in the study of job satisfaction and psychological well-being of workers. In this study wide range of non-job activities covering 15 different individual responsibilities outside the work and household functioning were used as predictors of several SWB variables. We employed the 3 components approach to SWB by using a measure of life satisfaction to represent the cognitive component and measures of happiness, the percentage of time being happy, and percentage of time being unhappy to represent the affective components of subjective well-being. Finally, we explored the effects of predictors on the job satisfaction as one of the well-being variables related to work.
