Here we present a system and environment for analyzing animal motion. The system implements several algorithms for successful real-time tracking of a single animal. Some of the algorithms are extensible for tracking of multiple animals, but labeling of each particular animal within the group is not reliable. Methods and results of a group motion analysis based on the tracking are also presented. Future extensions will include expert knowledge of biomedical and pharmacological experts. The major goal is to build a system that will provide objective and standardized tool for evaluation of animal behaviour during experiments. |
