The functionality of feature modelling systems has been the subject of intensive investigation, therefore a feature modelling represents nowadays the predominant way of product modelling. In this paper some approaches are described in concepts of feature modelling in general, and considering the current feature modelling systems. Related to different ways of feature modelling, several possibilities of commercial feature modelling system CATIA are described.
