Predictors of PTSD and other mental problems in women with war trauma

Context: Little is known on effects of trauma on women in postwar communities where people had multiple and polymorphic traumatic experiences. Objective: Determine some socio-demographic and other categories, wich put female populaton in immediate war zone in mental health services. Today it remains a major challenge to the health care and social services of these countries. It is essential for effective policy implementation to use evidence-based interventions and ongoing evaluation in developing mental health services in the post-conflict transition process. Summary: There is a need to identify what factors associated with the post-conflict transition process may increase mental health vulnerability. Evidence-based interventions in developing mental health services and ongoing evaluation are essential for effective policy implementation in the post-conflict transition process.
