Sažetak:
A computational model is proposed to explain how different cell types found in the SMA and pre-SMA contribute to the recall of complex movement sequences from long-term memory. The model assumes the formation of conjunctive representation between movement, order and sequence related neural activity. Conjunctions are formed at different dendritic branches which selectively gate information transmission in a neural network and establish dynamic associations between movement, order and sequence. An extended version of the model with translation-invariant pattern recognition is able to solve the difficult task of learning simultaneous chains.
