Comparison of Exploratory and Standard Methods for Application Testing
The standard application testing methods are based on test cases. It is hardly to perform by using software development in real conditions so non-formal testing methods are used. One of testing methods in banking application could be described as exploratory method. This testing is performed by users itself. The main difference between this method and standard methods is in fact that test cases are not prepared before the testing. The results of exploratory testing of application are compared with results of standard testing methods. The efficiency of used methods is analyzed based on detected failures and conclusions are carried out. Exploratory method gives better results and produces information about method of software enhancement.
