Improvement in Sheet Metal Forming Technology due to the Use of Different Software Aproaches

The goal of the paper is the improvement in the sheet metal forming technology to be achieved by the use of different software approaches. By means of the analysis of forming energy by applying the finite element method and using the Abaqus software it is possible to estimate the energy of forming during model development. Further, the model analyzed in this way has been worked out by means of SolidWorks software with the aim of obtaining a developed shape of flat sheet metal. Finally, ToPs software has been used in the final processing of sheet metal i.e. in the NC program creation. The proposed approach has been verified with the examples presented in the paper.
