Bis(Amino Acid) and Bis(Dipeptide) Oxalyl Amides as Ambidextrous Gelators of Water and Organic Solvents
Various oxaly amide derivatives of amino acids were found to efficiently gelatinise water and various organic solvents. Gels were studied by NMR, FTIR, fluorescence, TEM, SEM and single crystal X-ray analysis. The self-organisation motifs of oxalamide derivatives were revealed which lead to formation of supramolecular gel networks.
