Food Research in Croatian Ethnology
This paper provides an overview od food culture research in Croatian Ethnology. Ethnological studies of food in Croatia were conducted within different approaches and analytical procedures: from the simple colection of facts about traditional rural dishes, through cultural-historical searches for the background of certain elements, to contemporary anthropological approaches that percieve food culture within a larger social context (for example eating habits during wartime, within the Croatian war ethnography).
