Sažetak:
Determinants of an intervention’s impact or effect are referred to as “effect predictors” or “effect moderators” (Hosman, 1994 ; Hosman & Engels, 1999). Importance of implementation process quality is more and more researched and recognized in a context of understanding prevention programs effectiveness (Greenberg and Domitrovich, 2000 ; Domitrovich et al, 2008, Clarke et al., 2010, Domitrovich et al., 2013). Authors differentiate different aspects of implementation as fidelity, dosage, quality, participant’s responsiveness, program differentiation, monitoring of control/comparison conditions, program reach and adaptation (Dane and Schneider, 1998 ; Durlak and Dupre, 2008). In order to examine the influence of implementation process on programs effectiveness, during 2012, researchers from the University of Zagreb have conducted a broad study “Preffi – Quality Assurance in the County of Istria” in collaboration with researchers from the Netherlands and Penn State University, USA. A study focused on assessing the predictors and moderators of prevention programs effectiveness on the cohort of 24 prevention interventions in Croatia. Within the study, a meta-analysis of effectiveness of all included interventions was conducted just as the study of each intervention implementation quality. A quality of implementation was measured from the perspective of intervention managers, implementers and participants. The main intention of study was to examine if the effectiveness of prevention intervention is moderated by a quality level of particular implementation aspect. Methods of meta- analysis and hierarchical linear modelling were applied in this analysis. Based on the results, specific directions and recommendations for developing more effective interventions achieving desirable outcomes will be presented and elaborated.
