Psihometrijske značajke hrvatske verzije Skale sklonosti gađenju u trima domenama: Preliminarno izvješće

This paper presents preliminary results of the study aimed at assessing the psychometric properties of the Three Domains Disgust Scale (TDDS ; Tybur, Lieberman, & Griskevicius, 2009) and its validity as a measure of sensitivity to disgust in pathogen, sexual and moral domains in respondents from Croatian population. The Croatian version of the scale, adapted by Ćubela Adorić and Jakšić (2013), was first administered in a larger sample of students at the University of Zadar, Croatia. Based on the preliminary data from two hundred and twenty-nine students, the common factor analysis of the scale and the item analysis of its subscales were perfomed. The observed factor structure of the scale corresponds clearly with the expected pattern, and the three corresponding item composites possess good internal consistency. Overall, the preliminary results suggest that the disgust sensitivity in the pathogen, sexual and moral domains can be reliably differentiated and assessed among Croatian respondents using the TDDS. In addition, the intercorrelations between the subscales and their relationships with gender were assessed. The observed patterns provide further support for the notion that a general disposition to feel disgust can vary across domains and gender.
