Sažetak:
Children's online activities can result in serious consequences in their offline lives. Recent research suggest that cyberbullying is related to many behavioral and psychosocial problems. Cyberbullying tends to exacerbate instability and hopelessness in the minds of adolescents already struggling with stressful life circumstances. A serious impact of cyberbullying is self-harming, which might come along with other serious conditions in cyberbullying victims and that both cyberbullying and self-harming are very often barely visible to anyone who might help. Children and young people may resort in self- harming as a way of coping with psychological distress and a call for help. Brave Phone and Child Protection Center of Zagreb conducted a research about experience and behavior of children on the Internet and Facebook on the sample of 1489 children in Croatia aged 11 do 18, in rural and urban areas. Children who both commit and experience abuse on Facebook provides to have most emotional and behavioral difficulties, more anger and unacceptable behaviour than children who only commit the abuse via Facebook. The result considering emotional and behavioral difficulties for both cyber-victims and cyberbullies are discussed, as well as acknowledges of recet research considering relationship between self-harm in children and trauma, coping skills, emotions and comorbidity.
