The paper deals with the phenomenon of Humanist intercultural and intermedia (text-engraving models) transfer of images of celebrate people from ancient history (emperors, heroes, historians) that are reflected in the iconography of richly decorated wash basins and ewers made by Šibenik goldsmith and engraver Horatio Fortezza, which are now kept in the Museo Bargello in Florence, Museo Correr in Venice, the British Museum and the Victoria&Albert Museum in London and the Museum of the City of Šibenik.
