Scholarly communication through the Croatian journal of Education

Croatian journal of education is scientific journal with international editorial and advisory board first published in 2011. It gathers papers from interdisciplinary areas that relates to education at all levels. Interdisciplinarity of the journal is seen through the 3 executive editorial board: basic educational sciences, teaching methodologies and related fundamental sciences, information and communication technology and other sciences and arts. The journal is published through the Open Journal System (OJS). The aim of the editorial board is improving and maintaining quality of the journal to attract as many number of foreign and domestic authors to publish in the Croatian journal of education. The study includes 3 volumes of the journal from 2011th to 2013th (12 issues of the regular and 4 issues of the special editions). The focus of this study is on the following: 1) The number of entry articles through the OJS in relation to approved articles for publishing in the journal sections 2) Representation of scientific papers in the journal sections published by foreign authors in relation to the domestic authors By using and browsing the volumes in OJS and on portal HRČAK each issue of the journal will be explored and the relationship between the entries into OJS will be determined according to final aticles approved for publishing in the individual sections of the journal. An overview of the representation of domestic and foreign authors in different sections of the journal will be given with each issue and volume of the journal. The study results should show a level of recognition of the journal by domestic and foreign authors in the domain of educational sciences. Results as well as it could determine directions for popularization of the journal and give heading to the editorial board for pondering about editorial policy and maintaining quality.
