CRO-WELL - Croatian Longitudinal Study on Well-Being: Well-being, positive and negative life events

On the workshop the first phase of the project "Croatian Longitudinal Study on Well-being (CRO-WELL - PI: Ljiljana Kaliterna Lipovcan) was presented. The goals of the project are twofold. First, to examine the degree to which well-being fluctuates over time and whether patterns of well-being fluctuations are different for different types of people. Second, to examine whether well-being can be considered not only as an indicator of the good life, but also as a precondition of positive outcomes and favorable life events. It was argued that high levels of well-being enable the creation of later favorable life events and conditions by effective affect regulation strategies. The results based on the available sample at that time were presented and discussed.
