Mitigation of climate change - modelling the effects of energy efficiency and flexible demand
Most of climate change mitigation concentrates on energy supply policies and measures. Energy efficiency may produce significant mitigation efforts but it is harder to model the influence of policies and measures. A macroeconomic top- down approach is good only when small continuous changes. Solar and wind produced more than 30 GW of power around noon. The actual load was up to 10 GW lower than projected the day before, resulting in oversupply.
