Child and Some Philosophical Moments in the Work of Štefananija Štefa Jurkić (1895-1971)
Štefanija Štefa Jurkić (Cazin, 1895. - Livno, 1971.) attended primary school in Bijeljina and a higher girls' school in Sarajevo. She studied German and French at the University of Graz. She married Gabrijel Jurkić (1917) and lived in Sarajevo until 1955, the year, when she moved to Livno. Between two world wars, this extremely prolific Bosnian and Herzegovinian author from the first half of the twentieth century, introduced two new literary genres into the literature in the above-mentioned areas: legend in the modern form as well as the romance type biographies in imitation of French literature. Although she did not have any children of her own, nor did she leave after her death any learned treatise about their upbringing, she did express special attention and love towards children in her novels. Her empathy can be seen in relation to sick and abandoned children. She describes their exterior appearance down to the smallest detail. With her interesting writing style abounding in educational situations, she managed to highlight the educational ideals in one part of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian area. We find that the educational values have highly humanistic and religious orientation that is manifested through expressive tolerance, justice and morality, regardless of religion, race and nationality. They are the values that should be incorporated into every human being from their earliest childhood.

Dijete i neki filozofsko-odgojni momenti u djelu Štefanije Štefe Jurkić (1895. - 1971.) živjela u Sarajevu a zatim u Livnu. U tančine opisuje njihov vanjski izgled dok nutrinu polagano otkriva tijekom razvijanja radnje.
