Sažetak:
In many buildings, reinforced concrete walls have very wide openings at ground floor, or even have supports only on their edges. Analogously, many reinforced concrete frames are infilled with masonry from the first storey to the roof. The main reason for this type of construction is achieving larger and more illuminated spaces at the ground floor of the buildings, which results in their significantly unfavourable seismic resistance. However, rigid bearing systems on upper floors impose larger seismic forces, which have to be transferred to the flexible ground floor bearing system. By using previously developed numerical model for both static and dynamic analysis of reinforced concrete and masonry structures [1, 2], that can simulate their main nonlinear effects, the influence of flexibility in ground floor of concrete wall and infilled frame on their behaviour under earthquakes has been researched. Single three- storey reinforced concrete wall and single three- storey reinforced concrete frame were analyzed, each for the case of the equal rigidity through all floors and for the case with flexible ground floor. Frames with strong and weak infilled masonry were considered. Three different earthquakes were applied, that cause high structural nonlinearity. It is assumed that foundations are supported by rigid base, with possibility of lifting. Characteristic displacements, stresses and damage zones are presented. Finally, main conclusions and recommendations for practical application are given.
