Sažetak:
Traffic intensity is increasing asking for infrastructural solutions like tunnels. So more traffic will pass through more kilometres of tunnel. The risks of disaster grow accordingly. A tunnel fire is an immense disaster. Safeguarding peoples lives means installing and maintaining escape-possibilities and investing in new means and solutions. Tunnel rescuing is a very dangerous and a hard mission. Conventional vehicles driven by internal combustion engines aren't reliable because they need oxygen for their functionality. In tunnel fires, there is always a very possible situation of low oxygen level. So, the possible solution is to install air cylinder banks for engine functionality. But, there are two known engineering problems – 1) sealing the air intake from the atmosphere, 2) space on the vehicle and vehicle weight. Air cylinder bank uses space and gains weight to the vehicle. This has a negative impact on the manevourability as also on the driving capabilities, which are commonly the demands for these types of vehicles. The idea was that the development of the vehicle which doesn't need air cylinder bank would fulfill the task. A very innovative solution was provided – electric driven vehicle. Electric drive doesn't need oxygen. Also, it enables the direct – to axle drive, which means that the vehilce doesn't need gearbox. Electric motors are operated via electronics. So, this results in weight loss, but also to the capability to drive same speed in both directions. Prototype was build. It has two cabins with two steering axles and two-way ride ability. By that, optimal dimensions, weight and driving capabilites are guaranteed.Safety is guaranteed with the installed systems which include rear-view and infrared cameras, breathing hoods and apparatuses, oxygen sensors, over-pressure and self-protection systems for the whole vehicle and the hydrullic self-centering axle system for each driving direction.
